Understanding the legal elements of getting married can be an overwhelming feeling.

As a Civil Marriage Celebrant I am authorised by the Attorney General’s Department to legally solemenise your marriage. Ensuring that it is valid by abiding with The Marriage Act of 1961 and conducting myself professionally according to the Code of Practice of a Civil Marriage Celebrant.

I am your resource throughout the entire process. It is my commitment  to ensure you are comfortable and confident that everything is as it should be.

I encourage all couples to contact me via email, telephone, skype or in person. I am flexible to be able to fit in within your lifestyle and availability.

What to expect?

Our first meeting will have us commence the first process of the legal requirement. This is completing the Notice of Intended Marriage. This form legally you are required to lodge with me at least one month and one day prior to your ceremony.

You will require the following at the first meeting

  • Passports, both Australian and International. You may present an expired passport however cancelled passports are unable to be used.

  • Drivers License

  • Birth Certificates - I will be required to sight the original prior to your wedding day. Should your birth certificate not be in English you are to prepare a translated version by NAATI only.

  • Divorce Decree should this be applicable. I will be required to sight the original prior to your wedding day.

  • In the event your previous spouse is deceased I will need to sight the certificate of death.

Rest assured that the legal process will be driven by my professionalism and experience.

I encourage all couples to have a rehearsal prior to your ceremony date. The ideal setting is the actual venue. This is one of the best ways to have a run through with all the individuals that will part take in the ceremony.

It serves a few purposes:

  • Eliminates stresses for you the couple.

  • Gives your family and friends participating in the ceremony confidence that they will do the right thing on the day.

  • Everyone wants to ensure that your day is the special day you dream of. This is one way that you can be confident everyone understands clearly what their roles are.

  • This serves as a perfect opportunity for you as the couple to privately thank everyone involved in the ceremony.

I take tremendous pride in the ceremonies that I prepare. My commitment to you both is to deliver a well-researched, heartfelt, tailor-made ceremony that reflects the love you share for one another.

I use a professional PA System that has the capability to play music , should you require this.
